All Wynn, all the time

Steve Wynn complains about a variety of topics, save for that capitalist’s paradise, China. “The regulatory burden in China is infinitesimal compared to the crap we get in America,” he grouses. Wynn is rather economical with the truth where Pennsylvania is concerned: The tax rate isn’t 70% and it offends him so highly that he tried not once, but twice to apply for a casino in Philadelphia. He should cite Maryland‘s 60% rate; it’s sufficiently shocking and Wynn Resorts has never set foot in the state.

* Congratulations to MGM Resorts International on being named “Responsible Business of the Year,” “Land-Based Operator of the Year” and operator of the “Loyalty Program of the Year” (for M life) at this week’s Global Gaming Expo.
