Steve Wynn hasn’t done his homework on the tortured history of Foxwoods‘ vagabond casino project and if his aides at Wynn Resorts tried to bring him up to speed, they’ve obviously failed miserably. Still — and quite understandably — chafing from a Philadelphia Inquirer editorial that was dopey and flirted with anti-Semitism, Wynn takes it out
on reporter Jennifer Lin. (Egad! That’s a horrible freeze-frame, isn’t it?)
If Wynn continues to wade into Pennsylvania‘s treacherous political waters with so little knowledge of the backstory of the casino he’s trying to rescue, it suggests he’s not taking the project as seriously as he ought. He might want to start with the Penn-Praxis report that has the endorsement of Mayor Michael Nutter. I’ve read it and can vouch that it’s time well spent.
(Special thanks to Ian Sutton for the video link.)
Love Wynn’s product, but he really comes off as a dick in this clip.
Steve wynn is a dick but hes also a successful businessman and should get respect for that.
she on the other hand was a complete biased bitch!
Who really cares if either is a jerk or a Saint? If a new business is opened and it brings positive things to an area, like jobs, culture and tax dollars into coffers while at the same time increasing the cache/value of an area that sounds like a positive thing. Save the drama for your mama or Obama.
@nostrad–your comment is ridiculous. He was insulting to her, acting like she is responsible for the editorial content of the paper she works for. He either knows nothing or is being disingenuous, trying to use her to make a point. Wynn’s the whiny biotch here.
