From the collection of Charles Phoenix: The year is 1963. The place, Glitter Gulch. Those were the days when “Vegas” was a mythic, unique American place — and gambling was gambling, not “gaming.” About the only thing that hasn’t changed is the alluring fantasy of growing up to be Don Draper or a pre-LSD Roger Sterling.
