Quote of the Day

By David McKee ~ August 16th, 2012 @ 9:39 am

“No man’s life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session.” — Mark Twain, greatest newspaperman in Nevada history, bar none. But he needn’t fear the 112th Congress, which has massively underachieved the notorious (and perhaps unfairly maligned) 80th Congress, the one Harry Truman famously dubbed “the Do-Nothing Congress.” Oh, but the 112th did manage to pass The Mark Twain Commemorative Coin Act, as well as authorize an official prayer.

Every day of gridlock in Congress is a good day for the 1%. The very last thing the Adelsons of the world want is a functioning government.

Usually a do-nothing Congress results in business becoming active and booming. Yet, for some reason, this current no-nothing Congress has even stifled business from booming. What gives?

David- you need to be careful posting anything political for the “minions” will start complaining and you could be barred. So it goes in the land of the 1st Amendment that applies to everyone except those who speak the truth.

I am a card-carrying “minion”, and as far as I can see there is no threat to the First Amendment from regular human beings, only those “Corporations that are people too, my friend…”
