Admin.
New site looks really nice — very easy to read. I really enjoy your choice of topics — especially the “quote” of the day. Thanks!!
YOUR NEW FORMAT HAS NO LINK TO RETURN TO THE MAIN LAS VEGAS ADVISOR PAGE. [THAT I CAN FIND, AM I MISSING IT]
Like the new site. The mobile version isn’t very satisfying.
Mr. McKee,
I was looking to post a comment on Ho Tram Strip construction, Vietnam by ACDL. I see you have a new website but it needs a search ability (best) or a category (not as good). Going through the archives is a pain in the present form.
I will get eyewitness accounts and pictures for your positing.

I live in Vietnam (have a water-bottling business) but my specialty is on the Cambodian gaming industry. My reports are on how the Cambodian casino would be impacted by the Vietnamese patrons.
The top of your “About” page has “subscribe” spelled “subscirbe”.
I know about the “subscirbe [sic].” I’ve known about it for some time. I have drawn IT’s attention to the matter. They have done nothing to fix it.
I knew it wasn’t you. Ahh, the joys of being held hostage by IT!
I like your blog. But, check the spelling on the homepage. Subscribe is not spelled “Subscirbe.”
How exactly do I subscribe? I’m new at this.
Thanks. Nice work, btw.
John
I DON’T like the new format and hope you’ll go back to the previous version. I do not enjoy clicking on links to read the full stories and waiting for the pages to load. It interrupts the flow. Go back to the format where the entire column is present and the need to click occurs only at the bottom of the page: for more columns! This version is annoying.
I’m genuinely sorry you feel that way, Mr. Gabrielli. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending one one’s perspective) page views are WAY up with the new format, so it looks like it’s here to stay. The audience has spoken and the new look is clearly to their liking. I didn’t mind the old look myself but I have to heed what the marketplace is telling me.
David, I read your blog practically every day, and very much enjoy your insights on the Vegas scene. I do appreciate the new look, but I am forced to agree with Mr. Gabrielli: I much preferred it when the entire post was displayed, instead of having to click to see the entire column. I can also understand why your site hits would be up: you are getting an additional hit every time someone clicks to see more.
I can’t say that this is a deal breaker for me, but I did prefer when I could see your entire column at once, without having to click to see more.
Keep up the great work!
Chris, I feel like sh!t about this. I’ve got readers who really didn’t like the old “scroll down” format and ones, like yourself, who did. Which means that there’s no solution that’s going to please everyone. However, The Powers That Be who have dominion over LVA’s Web site are very keen on the jump-page look (which does have the virtue of accommodating more posts per page) and since I operate at their sufferance, theirs is the deciding vote.
Please accept my regrets.
David:
Like I said, not a deal breaker. Just providing some “constructive” (whatever that means) criticism that you can pass along when appropriate. Keep up the great work!
Chris
Please stop videos from playing automatically. You have had instances where 2 videos are playing at the same time on the same page.
MGM at National Harbor officially opens December 8, do you know if there may be a “soft” opening beforehand?
FYI
Olg has awarded Mohegan Sun to take over the running of the casinos in Niagara Falls. This includes Fallsview and Casino Niagara. The deal reached is for 21 years and will begin next summer. Current workers have been guaranteed jobs for one year. The deal will include the running of a new (under-construction) 5000-seat theater.
